Reserves and frequency regulation for PSE, the Polish transmission system operator – your assets earn on the ancillary services market.
The bieliq.pl platform allows distributed assets to take part in the ancillary services market of PSE, the Polish transmission system operator. In 2025 we decided to start operating as an energy aggregator, and since 2026 we have been delivering ancillary services to PSE using our customers' assets.
Advanced EMS algorithms allow the same installation to take part in the balancing market, provide frequency regulation services and join DSR programmes at the same time.
FCR and aFRR frequency regulation
Frequency containment and automatic frequency restoration reserves, contracted by PSE in the basic and supplementary modes.
mFRRd and RR reserves
Slower reserves activated on the operator's command, available to assets with longer response times.
Aggregation of customer assets
We combine individual installations into a portfolio that meets prequalification requirements a single asset often could not meet on its own.
Revenue alongside core operations
The installation runs as usual, and readiness to regulate becomes an additional, stable revenue stream.

What conditions must an asset meet to enter the ancillary services market?
Three things matter: response time, the ability to hold a given power level for the required period, and measurement confirming delivery. They decide which service an asset qualifies for at all.
Can a small installation take part as well?
On its own it usually will not meet the size thresholds, but within an aggregator's portfolio it will – the operator contracts the combined portfolio, not each asset separately.
Does taking part in ancillary services rule out other revenue?
No, but it requires planning. Capacity reserved for a reserve product is not simultaneously available for day-ahead trading – profitability is calculated for the whole set of services, not for one of them.
