VPP – Technical Aggregator

We combine your customers' distributed assets into one virtual power plant and make them available on the energy markets.

Inside a containerised energy storage system – rows of battery cabinets

For thousands of distributed installations to genuinely provide flexibility services, a technology bridge is needed between the asset and the central trading platform. That is the role of bieliq.pl.

The roll-out of local flexibility services in Poland is entering a decisive phase. The first pilot contracts from distribution system operators appeared at the end of 2024, and 2026 is the breakthrough year – work is well advanced on launching a single exchange-based platform for trading flexibility services on the Polish Power Exchange (TGE).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Your question is not here? – we answer to the point, including when the answer is “this will not pay off for you”.

What is the difference between technical and commercial aggregation?

Technical aggregation makes sure an asset can be read and controlled: communication with the device, response times and confirmation that a command was executed. Commercial aggregation is contracting and settlement on the market. Without the first, the second has nothing to trade.

Do I have to replace the equipment at my customers' sites?

Usually not. The starting point is whatever is installed – inverters, storage and metering from various manufacturers. The scope of any additions only emerges from an inventory of the specific portfolio.

Who keeps the relationship with the end customer?

The trading company. The platform works under your brand as a technology layer – you contract the service with your customer and settle it on your own terms.

How many assets does it take before this pays off?

There is no single number: what counts is the total controllable capacity and how predictably it behaves. A portfolio of a few large storage units can be easier to contract than a thousand small PV installations.
